About Monhegan House

Conveniently located in the heart of Monhegan's small village, we are opposite the Church and Post Office, just a short walk from the dock. Although the Monhegan House has undergone many expansions and changes, it has been continuously operated as a guesthouse since 1870.

Recent renovations have carefully preserved the unique charm and island flavor of the inn. The spacious, comfortable lobby boasts a stone fireplace and invites guests to make new acquaintances and renew old ones. Our 29 comfortable rooms are individually decorated with antique furniture, and all offer ocean or lighthouse/meadow views or both.

Although most of our rooms utilize the second floor shared bath facilities, with plenty of hot water, we also offer two ground floor suites with private baths.
